An award-winning, non-fiction trade publisher is looking for a Head of Publicity & Marketing to lead their in-house publicity team, and to create and deliver innovative PR campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-connected and experienced Publicity Manager looking to take the next step.

Key duties:

  • Planning, developing and implementing innovative PR campaigns
  • Managing a Publicity Assistant
  • Maximising press coverage, as well as selling serial rights
  • Maintaining and building a list of press / media contacts
  • Author care, book tour and event management
  • Maintaining and managing company websites and social media activities
  • Producing marketing materials as required

Experience / skills required:

  • Extensive publicity experience in non-fiction trade publishing
  • Solid management experience
  • Strong media/press contacts essential
  • Good relationship-building abilities and strong communication skills
  • Social media activity experience a must
  • Sound IT/database skills – familiarity with Biblio/Mailchimp beneficial
  • Marketing experience and some children’s PR experience advantageous
