Running a virtual event for the first time is extremely daunting. There are so many things that could go wrong, some of which are completely beyond your control. Or are they?
This course will focus on practical planning for a successful online event. It will help those new to running online seminars, book launches or author tours to get beyond the fear factor and prepare effectively for all eventualities. You can learn about the tools and techniques you can use to make sure all goes smoothly and everyone knows what to expect.
At the end of the five modules, you will know what you have to do – and when – to host a successful online event.

Your Course Leader
Suzanne Kavanagh is an IDM-qualified marketer with nearly 30 years of book industry experience. She is a strategic content and marketing specialist who has overseen the planning, programming and delivery of numerous face to face and online events and promotional campaigns. Suzanne is a freelance programme curator and marketing consultant and works with the BookMachine Community and Creative Agency.
Prior to this she worked at a range of publishers including Routledge, Taylor & Francis, Batsford and Continuum as well as industry bodies Creative Skillset and the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers.
