This event draws together some of the sharpest minds in children’s publishing today to discuss how to make a success of publishing for kids in an online world.
Each speaker will present a 10 minute talk on what, in their experience, parents are looking for when choosing and buying books online for their kids.
Your speakers for the evening
Charlotte is Digital Marketing Manager at Hachette Children’s Group. She firmly believes that successful digital marketing campaigns for children’s books are all about experimentation, iteration and brands. Her favourite hat is her consumer hat.
Claire is the Senior Marketing Manager for DK Books. She joined DK 18 months ago to head up the marketing for children’s, education, licensing and travel books; her highlights so far have been the launch of DKfindout! and introducing Star Wars Reads Day to the UK.
Steve is UK Research Director at Nielsen Book Research. He has managed the Books and Consumers survey since 1997, as well as a wide variety of other qualitative and quantitative research projects relating to the book market, and to reading and buying habits.
Sven is founder & CEO of Boolino, Spain’s leading online platform about children’s and YA books and reading, which started in 2016 its international expansion to the UK and Germany. Over the last 15 years he has been working in book publishing and distribution in Spain, Portugal and the US. Sven also helps education and media startup companies as mentor and business angel.
