Since 2016, The Quarto Group’s 48 imprints have been set to run as creatively independent businesses all supported and serviced by a global, central platform.

The Sales and Marketing teams sit within this central platform and today The Quarto Group have announced the following changes and updates:

  • Ken Fund, is Chief Operating Officer for the Group
  • Andrew Stanley has been appointed Sales Director, UK and Europe starting 10 July 2017
  • Tim Loynes joined Quarto on 17 April 2017 as Director of Children’s Sales

Scratching out is the new colouring in

The Quarto Group have announced the launch of Scratch & Create, a new series of books that feature metallic ink layered over drawings or colourful backgrounds. With a stylus, you scratch away the coating to reveal the artwork beneath.

David Breuer, Chief Creative Officer, said: ‘More and more adults are looking for creative activities that can help them unwind and relax. We believe people will enjoy these innovative products that offer new ways of stimulating the mind and exercising new skills’.

Quarto was at the forefront of the global colouring phenomenon and has sold over 2 million colouring books worldwide. The’ll be supporting the launch with an extensive marketing and advertising campaign.

The first four titles are due in August, and they’ll release the first two titles in their series for children in September.

Job Title: Junior Designer

Job Location: Brighton, UK

RotoVision publishes highly illustrated co-edition books on art, photography, craft, fashion and beauty. We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and highly organised Junior Designer. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to make a real contribution as a key member of our small, busy, in-house design team.

As Junior Designer you will be working as part of the creative team, reporting to and assisting the Senior Designer in developing presentations as well as full book layouts. You will be involved in all stages of the design and production process. The role is varied and fast paced and is suited to a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to learn quickly, multi-task and communicate effectively.

You will be a highly organised and creatively ambitious individual with at least a year’s experience in book design. You must be a highly competent user of the Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency with InDesign and Photoshop is an essential skill for this role. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for design, creative flair, and a scrupulous eye for detail.
