About Ruth
Ruth has worked as a bookseller, book buyer, for an ePOS vendor, and a large wholesaler in the US. For several years she’s been with Above the Treeline, the makers of Edelweiss, and as the company grew from a startup, she did a bit of everything. She repatriated to Scotland in 2019 with a nervous dog and a Texan partner, and now represents Edelweiss here in the UK. When not spreading the word, she can be found swimming in lochs, or trying to figure out what’s growing in the garden of her highland home.

She combines a passion for indie press publishing and literary fiction with innovative strategy, on a book-by-book basis, and her office specializes in optimizing the North American market for UK, Canadian and Australian publishers. Previously, she worked at Milkweed Editions, The Chicago Tribune Lit Fest, and the Twin Cities Book Festival. She also worked for Granta and helped launch Figment, a social networking site for young writers, as the VP of Marketing & Creative Content.
