After completing a BA in publishing followed by an MA in linguistics, I began my career working in a digital marketing agency as an SEO and PPC specialist. Wanting to get my foot into the publishing industry, I made the move to academic publishing with Boydell & Brewer in 2018. I began my role in the company as a marketing assistant, and progressed into my current role as a digital marketing executive in late 2019. Today, my role combines my earlier marketing work with the tasks of looking after our social media accounts, blog, and website. During our website build with Supadu I represented Boydell as the project manager and was involved with the project from start to finish.
Sarah Arbuthnot is the Commercial & Partnerships Director at leading publishing website provider Supadu. Sarah has worked for the company since it started in 2008 across customer services and business development. Her interests and experience have been focussed on consumer behaviour and specifically how consumers behave in the digital world in respect of what they buy and how they shop. With 20 years of website experience, she started her working life in media & FMCG working with Europe’s largest digital media agency, the global telecommunications and media corporation Orange and the Uber portal Freeserve – which back then was one the first ISPs delivering online shopping into people’s homes.
