Audio publishing uncovered
Audio publishing has to be the most exciting growth area across the publishing industry right now. We are excited to announce that this month (June) is audio month on BookMachine. As well as discussions around the latest trends in audio publishing, this month we will tap into future predictions and how we can prepare ourselves to reach even more listeners.
The big event is BookMachine Unplugged: Talking Audio on Wednesday 17th June. We will be joined by Ruth Tross (Publishing Director, Bookouture), Videl Bar-Kar (Global Head of Audio, Bookwire) and Elise Italiaander (Audio and Digital Manager, Dorling Kindersley). They will delve into consumer insights and will look at what shifts we can expect from the market in the future.
The event will be hosted by Louise Harvey (Audio Editor, Little, Brown Book Group) and kindly sponsored by Ingram Content Group and Getty Images.
Throughout audio month we will be interviewing audio experts about their experience of working in the market. Guests include Rebecca Fortuin (Audio Editor, Avon Books and HQ Stories) and Alice Lloyd (Commissioning Editor Audio & Podcasts, Orion Publishing Group).
Finally, each Monday you will gain even more insights about the market with our series of blog posts, all commissioned with publishing professionals working with audio in mind.
Read the changing marketing opportunities for audio during lockdown from Helena Sheffield (Marketing and Communications Manager, Penguin Random House Audio), tips for helping narrators to set up a home studio (Dan Jones, Head of Audio and Print Services, Hachette UK), and much more.
If you would like to keep abreast of all of this, sign up for the BookMachine mailing list. BookMachine members will get free or discounted access to the event, and recordings of the expert interviews.
Super excited for Audio month! Looking forward to attending all talks 🙂
