Wednesday Wisdom: Live Interview with Cherise Lopes-Baker (Tate Children’s/Jacaranda)

Join us on Wednesday 31st March from 1–1:30pm BST for a live, inspiring Wednesday Wisdom Q&A with Cherise Lopes-Baker, Commissioning Editor for Tate Children’s, Reviews Editor for Words of Colour, and Editor at Large for Jacaranda Publishing.
During the interview, you can pick up some nuggets of wisdom around the aims of the lists Cherise commissions, the types of readers the teams at Tate and Jacaranda publish for, and the importance of the author platform for children’s and YA titles.
Do also come prepared with your own questions to ask Cherise, as we’ll also be opening up the Q&A to the audience in the last 10 minutes of the session.

About Cherise
Cherise Lopes-Baker is Commissioning Editor for Tate Children’s, Reviews Editor for Words of Colour, and Editor at Large for Jacaranda Publishing. She was previously Commissioning Editor and Manager of Fiction at Jacaranda Publishing, specialising in YA and literary fiction. She has earned a Law degree from Durham University, with a focus on international human rights, and a Masters in Publishing degree from UCL, with a focus on diversity in literature. She is also the co-founder and Editor of Desert Rose, a literary magazine that platforms Femmes of Colour.
