Tune into a live, inspiring Wednesday Wisdom Q&A session on Wednesday 14th July from 1–1:30pm BST with Videl Bar-Kar, Global Head of Audio at Bookwire, and Lindsey Mooney, Managing Director of Hera Books.
Join us at this free session to learn more about how Hera have worked together with Bookwire to develop their audiobook strategy and grow their sales as a small press, which audio trends to look out for in the next few years, and how you can get ahead to ensure that your audio products are visible across all platforms – especially as new developments in the audio space have emerged for platforms such as Spotify and Deezer.
You will also have the chance to ask your own questions to both Videl as we will be opening up the Q&A to the audience in the last 10 minutes – so be sure to come prepared!

Videl Bar-Kar has over 20 years media industry experience in both corporate and start up environments. He has worked in publishing for over a decade, first as Director of the Ways With Words literary festival, then as the first Audio Publisher for Penguin Random House, where he led an award winning team across editorial, production and marketing to create the UK’s leading audiobook publisher.
He is a member of the Cheltenham Literature Festival advisory board and Co-Founder of Minotaur Productions, whose Johnny Cash documentary ‘Folsom Untold’ reached No.1 in the New York Times non-fiction audiobook chart.
As Global Head of Audio for Bookwire, Videl leads the international expansion of the company’s rapidly growing audio business, from production through distribution of audiobooks and the development of flexible, end-to-end solutions for publishers across all markets.
About Lindsey
Lindsey Mooney is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Hera, a female-led publisher of commercial fiction. Before that she worked at Kobo, launching their ebook service in the UK. She has worked retailers, including The Book Depository and Anobii, which later became Sainsbury’s ebooks before handing over their business over to Kobo. She also worked on digital strategy for both Hachette and Random House before moving into retail.
