One Big Book Launch – Winners announced

Nine of the ten places in One Big Book Launch 2015 have been announced, showcasing fantastic new titles from Walker Books, Sandstone Press, a variety of up-and-coming publishers and several self-publishing authors.

“One Big Book Launch helps talented, emerging authors get the attention they deserve. By collaborating, authors can increase their marketing efforts by tenfold, and can be part of a launch with a real sense of occasion.” Sarah Juckes, Communication Manager, CompletelyNovel

Winning authors will launch their books simultaneously at one, highly-publicised event at the Free Word Centre in Farringdon on June 3rd, 2015. One Big Book Launch aims to harness the power of collaboration across the UK publishing industry to increase discoverability and celebrate emerging authors writing on the theme of ‘Inspiring People and Places’.

This year’s competition received submissions from an eclectic mix of authors, reflected in the nine winning entries released so far. By combining books from well-established presses such as Walker Books with those from self-publishing authors, this event busts the myth that traditional publishing and self-publishing don’t mix. The content is no less varied, ranging from an inspiring memoir from a double-leg amputee to a children’s picture book.

Visitor tickets to the event are free and available from the Free Word Centre on a first-come-first-served basis.
