Join us live to learn about aims of The FLIP and the Editors’ goals for the newsletter in 2022, discover other resources for developing your leadership skills, and find out what running the newsletter so far has taught them about their own career path and professional development within publishing.

About Yan
Yan (she/her) is International Campaign Manager at Collins Education and Co-Editor of The FLIP, a platform that aims to raise the profile of female leadership in publishing. She is the Co-Chair of ELEVATE, HarperCollins’ BAME network and in her spare time, enjoys all things food, fitness and film.
About Omara
Omara (she/her) is the Founder of WriteUnite, a nonprofit working to amplify the voices of young people worldwide by publishing their creative work. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Editor at HarperNonFiction, having started her time there on the Traineeship in 2018. She was the Co-Chair of SYP London in 2021 and was Co-Head of Events in 2020.

The FLIP is an online community and newsletter that informs, inspires and connects women in publishing by providing a space for conversation and access to advice from visionary women. Since taking over leadership in January 2022, Cassie, Farzana, Omara and Yan have sought to continue the amazing work spearheaded by founders Helena, Ella and Sophie and building on the strong foundations by bringing in more voices across the industry with the aim to be as intersectional and inclusive as possible.
