Will Hutton and Kathy Rooney join United We Publish 2
A second keynote speaker and extra panelist have been announced for United We Publish II: Your pay – your say? on July 14th in London. Will Hutton, will be joining Owen Jones to kickstart this important discussion around pay and conditions in the publishing industry. Kathy Rooney will now be joining Michelle Stanistreet, Tania Hummel and Simon Dubbins on the panel.
Will Hutton is a British political economist, writer, weekly newspaper columnist and former editor-in-chief for The Observer. His best-known book is “The State We’re In”, which was seen at the time as setting the scene for the Blair revolution. Since then he has published a number of successful political titles, His most recent book, “How Good We Can Be” published in February 2015, reached number 3 in the Guardian best-seller list
Kathy Rooney is Non-Executive Director of Librios Ltd, a publishing software company, and Mentor of entrepreneurial start-ups at Accelerate Cambridge (University of Cambridge Judge Business School). Previously she was Managing Director of Bloomsbury Information, having been a senior director of Bloomsbury Publishing. She won the Kim Scott Walwyn Prize for achievement by women in publishing.
