BookMachine Creative Agency grows: Welcoming our newest members

The BookMachine team is growing once again!

You may have spotted that, back in May, Abby Coften came on board permanently as our new Head of Marketing. If you missed the announcement then, we’re re-introducing Abby as another brand new member joins the team.

We’re so pleased to welcome Gavin Summers – previously Head of Digital at Hodder Education – who will be joining us in the new role of Co-Founder & Director. Gavin will lead our new digital product consultancy and help us to develop BookMachine’s operational capacity. At his previous role at Hodder Education, Gavin was Head of the Digital Product team for 6 years, delivering major online learning platforms, mobile applications and websites. Gavin is formerly of Pearson and a British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur.  

Abby, previously Senior Campaigns Manager at Pearson Education, will be continuing to act as our marketing lead for the Agency and work on digital marketing projects for our key clients. Over the years, Abby has held posts at Octopus Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan, Hodder Education, Kogan Page and McGraw-Hill Education.

Abby has worked with us in a freelance capacity in the past, so we know that she is an absolute pro and will offer our clients the very best digital marketing expertise. Gavin was one of the original founders of the BookMachine Community and we’re extremely excited to see what he creates next for BookMachine and our clients.

The Agency team works either on a retainer basis or on fixed-term projects with expertise in digital marketing, online events and now digital product development as well.
