We have been made aware of an individual impersonating BookMachine using a Gmail address. They have contacted at least one author, claiming to act on our behalf. These emails are not from us.
BookMachine will never contact you from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or any other free email provider. Our official communications come only from @bookmachine.co.uk or @bookmachine.org.
If you receive a message that feels unusual, unexpected or contains requests that seem out of character, please check before replying. Forward anything suspicious to our team and we will confirm whether it is genuine.
How to verify an email from us
- Check the sender address. It must end with @bookmachine.co.uk or @bookmachine.org. Campus updates come from @circle.so.
- Compare the tone and structure with previous communication
- Look for our usual email signature and branding
- If in doubt, contact us directly using the details on this website

- Do not reply
- Do not click on any links or attachments
- Forward the message to our team so we can review it
- Delete the email from your inbox and trash
