The Job Profile

Simon & Schuster UK’s Sales team is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Key Account Manager to join their Digital team.

Report to the Head of Online and Digital Sales, the Key Account Manager will play a crucial role in maximising book sales across a selection of our retail partners. This role would be responsible for all physical online only retailers.

The Job Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving the discoverability, visibility, and sales of physical books across key online accounts, including Simon & Schuster’s fiction, non-fiction, Children’s, Client, and Distribution lists. You will manage the full sales process, identified market and promotional opportunities, aligned marketing campaigns with promotions, and prepared reports on market trends, sales performance, and opportunities.

The Candidate Profile

The Key Account Manager will be a strategic and analytical thinker with a passion for books and a talent for building strong relationships. You will be highly efficient and detail-oriented, skilled at prioritising and meeting deadlines, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and bring experience in publishing sales with a proven ability to use feedback and data to inform strategic decisions. They will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, take a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities, and champion systems and operational improvements with an open and inquisitive mindset toward new technology and AI. A strong grasp of grammar and communication skills are essential.
