The Job Profile

Simon & Schuster UK’s Rights team are looking for an enthusiastic Rights assistant to join and support the Rights team.

Reporting to the Adult Rights Director the successful candidate will join our fast-paced and dynamic team, supporting the wider team with all administrative tasks, specifically working on our Adult list.

The Job Role

The job role is predominantly administration based including but not limited to: providing administration support to the Adult Rights team; drafting, sending and archiving contracts; organising business trips and book fair appointments; updating our submissions database; mailing out author copies and liaising with international customers over file supply.

 The Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a meticulous eye for detail.  With a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task, the successful candidate will have a passion for books and an interest in international publishing. Knowledge of a foreign language would be useful but not essential. IT skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
