The Job Profile

Simon & Schuster UK’s Group Sales team is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Sales Executive to join their Sales Support team.

Reporting to the Head of Sales Support, the Sales Executive will improve quality and consistency of reporting and market insight and consequently strengthening data-led decision-making across the sales team and wider business. The role will provide administrative support for the trade sales team, undertaking a  variety of tasks to aid in the efficient management of key accounts.

The Job Role

The Sales Executive will support the trade sales team with key tasks such as reporting, producing sales materials, order and data processing. You will build strong relationships with key account contacts and the distribution team, resolving issues efficiently. You will take ownership of Nielsen reporting, serving as the internal point of contact and managing all regular and ad-hoc Nielsen PowerBI reports. You will review existing reports and collaborate to deliver insightful, actionable reporting for the sales team. In addition, you will take on broader administrative responsibilities as required.

The Candidate Profile

The Sales Executive will be highly efficient, adept at prioritising and working to deadlines, have a meticulous eye for detail and can work independently while also being an effective team player. They will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Previous experience of PowerBI would be advantageous. A strong grasp of grammar and communication skills are essential.
