Editorial Assistant [JOB OF THE WEEK]
We have an exciting opportunity for an Editorial Assistant to join a leading Education company on an initial 12-month contract. Based in lovely offices in Essex and easily commutable from Liverpool Street, you will provide essential support to the team and help to deliver customised print and digital projects.
Key duties:
- Provide editorial and administrative support to the Project Managers and the whole team
- Help to manage the production and delivery of all print and digital projects
- Ensure products are approved prior to handover and take responsibility for handover processing
- Monitor and manage team mailboxes, create P&Ls for sales teams
- Liaise with other internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Rights and Contracts
- Work on ad-hoc projects as they arise within the department
Experience / skills required:
- Previous experience of managing and monitoring schedules within a book publishing environment
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and maintaining databases and systems
- A proven ability to track project schedules and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills
- Proactive with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills
