Louise Dickens joins BookMachine as Digital Marketing Strategist
BookMachine has been buzzing with the arrival of our newest addition to the team!
Louise Dickens has joined us as Digital Marketing Strategist, and will be working on client campaigns and managing marketing channels and platforms – from SEO to paid media, to content – creating actionable plans for our growing team to implement.
Louise has over 8 years of experience working in digital strategy. As Digital Marketing Executive at FUJIFILM UK, she launched a new consumer website and worked on App Optimisation, as well as planning and managing an annual conference & award ceremony.
Joining Kogan Page in 2018, her first role within publishing, Louise managed and developed their website – driving traffic and social media engagement as well as sales.
Most recently, Louise worked for Books PR Agency FMcM, implementing digital marketing strategies for authors and books, as well as project managing industry events and awards, such as ‘The Sunday Times Charlotte Aiken Young Writer of the Year Award’.
As a naturally curious person, with a love for puzzles and problem-solving, Louise relishes a challenge. In her spare time, Louise reads dystopia, horror and thrillers, but as an avid reader is open to anything she can get her hands on!
At BookMachine, Louise is diving straight in: leading on a new product launch for one BookMachine client and taking ownership of the digital marketing of a website launch for another.
Louise says, “It’s an exciting time to be joining BookMachine Creative Agency and starting a new chapter in my career. The team are passionate about what they do, and the standards they hold themselves to and the quality of work they produce is highly impressive. The BookMachine Community is a positive and empowering force within the publishing industry, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that and excited for what the future might bring. Watch this space!”
Laura Summers, Co-Founder of BookMachine, says, “Louise is a skilled marketer with up-to-date skills and a varied experience of working across book marketing and digital products. I’m excited to welcome her to the team, and although she only started a few days ago, she seems very much a part of our Agency team already!”
